nhra needs also to look into the safety of the fuel funny cars as this is the 3rd really nasty engine explosion from a funny car this season unfortunately this one resulted in a fatality . you've never seen engine explosions in top fuel as violent as the (3) this year in funny car as two being from tony pedregon . i think nhra should re-design these funny cars and make them more safe from violent engine explosions and fires .

I don't think a jurry in the land wouldn't agree that its neglect to allow races that fast to go on there. fix it, or move it, rename the place Kalitta park.

With all of the accidents and the nitro shortage, top fuel and AA funny car might be soon something of the past.

My wife read a report that he had been killed by shrapnel for the engine explosion. Now the report has been replaced by the standardized ap report so I can't verify it.

that what i'm thinking as that was the most severe engine explosion yet this season and either schrapnel or the force of the explosion was the cause because the car didn't slow down at all or even attempt to stop

after that impact, how could they tell ? he was part of the car when he hit that concrete wall. i've never noticed what's at the end of strips but it's totally insane to have a wall to stopped a car with a human being in itsniggle_t said:My wife read a report that he had been killed by shrapnel for the engine explosion.
